CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates

Founded in 1978 by the Family Court for children who have been abused and/or neglected and found themselves involved with the Dept of Children, Youth, Families (DCYF) and the Family Court.   Court APpointed Special Advocates (CASA) are volunteers appointed by the court to advocate for the best interest of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children. CASA tried to ensure that children do not “fall through the cracks” of the system that is there to help them.
